#colour_collective the weekly twitter color prompt is a huge help and inspiration for me. The main character of one of my stories is Amadeus Armadillo, and his trademark is a shocking pink sweater with his initial “A” stitched on in gold. So I was happy to feature him for the shocking pink color prompt this week. I’m also thinking I need to write the next draft of his story.

I was looking at the Unicorn tapestry again and thought that maybe the lady would like to have a pet dragon instead of a unicorn. Thanks again to #colour_collective for the color inspirations: Clover Green for the left and Blue Bell for the right.
THE earliest European writer who mentions chess is the Byzantine princess and historian, Anna Komnene, of Constantinople. She calls the game Zatrikion, and says that the Greeks derived it from the Babylonians; and that her father, Alexios loved to play. So here she is learning from her father!
